This is a large farm steading of recent erection, with dwelling house of two stories and garden. It is occupied by Mr. David Lees and the proprietors are Lady Hay and Miss Preston of Valleyfield. On this farm are Cairn Green, Cairn Green Quarry and the Cottages called Sodom.

This Inn is in the East end of the Village, and is a house of one story. It has stabling and the other necessaries belonging to Inns. All liquors excepting Wins are to be had here. With the permission of the Post Master General, letters are received and delivered, but no "Letter Box" is attached. The Inn is occupied by the proprietor James Wannan. Behind the house is a large garden.
