104 | The principal graveyard of Iona, on the southwest side of the Cathedral. In it are situated St Oran's Chapel, the Tombs of the Kings, and the graves of the McLean's, McQuarie's &c. "On the south side of the Chapel (St Oran's) and adjacent to it, is an enclosure called Reilig Oran, the burying place of Oran. This was the grand cemetry of Iona" Extract from the Imperial Gazetteer of Scotland. As before stated St. Oran's Chapel is now within the enclosed graveyard. |
