This Church was erected in 1822 and can accomodate a congregation of 1200 people. It was built upon the site of a Religious establishment of great extent which flourished here in the fourth century, no authentic records of which have been handed down. The Minister's salary is paid by the heritors according to the fiars of the year. The number of communicants is about 450 and daily average of attendants about 500. it has a gallery on three sides & is altogether in good repair.
