031 [Situation] About 1 1/2 miles South of Logan House.
A small Village at the head of Port Nessock Bay, with about 200 of a population, it consists of two ranges of houses mostly one Story high & in good repair. There are three Public houses which can accommodate Travellers & Shops. There is also a Post Office in it and a regular communication by Carrier to & from Stranraer. The Front range of houses are well Sheltered from the sea by the Stranraer road, it being raised by an embankment above the level of the houses. It is situated about 14 miles from Stranraer & 4 miles W [West] of Drumore Village. The property of Col [Colonel] McDowall of Logan. There is a good Quay & Harbour at this village.
