009.04 | [Continued from page 6] There are two Free churches in the town two United Presbyterian Churches, one Reformed Presbyterian Church - one Quakers Meeting House and one Roman Catholic Chapel. The Episcopalian church, though small, is a tasteful Gothic building snugly ensconced on the skirt of the pleasure grounds of Ednam House overlooking the Tweed. It will contain about 218 persons, has two Small galleries, beautifully Stained glass windows and possesses an Excellent organ, the only one in the Town. The grand architectural attractions of Kelso, and one which would be strongly felt & highly prized in any city is the ruinous abbey.
