This is a plain well conserved house two stories high. This Institution had its commencement in December 1843. It was got up by a Society of Ladies for the benevolent purpose of reclaiming an unfortunate class of girls and also for a school of industry for such destitutes female children as have no home or friends to support or train them
The institution is supported by donations and subscriptions and also the proceeds of the girls work.
