098 | [continued from page 178] Cromwell and his officers were conducted by the provost (Andrew Grant of Ballagil now Murrayhall) to the house of the inhabitant referred, Mr Davidson, who entertained them, Mr Davidson's house was that in the Watergate in which the late John Richardson Esqr. of Pitfour resided.
