106 A standing stone situated near the road a short distance southwest of Craigneich, three feet by two, and about ten in height, being somewhat similar to those composing Druidical Circles. It is supposed to mark the grave, or commemorate the death, of a distinguished Roman soldier, who fell in a battle, said to have been fought here, between the Romans and the Caledonians.
