Place names

These volumes provide information on the place names found in the Peeblesshire parishes of Broughton, Culter, Drummelzier, Eddleston, Innerleithen, Kirkurd, Linton, Lyne, Manor, Newlands, Peebles, Skirling, Stobo, Traquair, and Tweedsmuir, as well as the burgh of Peebles, between 1856 and 1858. The columns of these ledgers include the place name, any variant name and spellings, map sheet numbers and descriptive remarks.
