They are said to possess strong Chalybeate properties Similar to Tunbridge Wells being good for the Cure of Scorbutic disease also for Sore eyes, ulcerated Wounds, Bilious and Stomach disorders etc. These springs which are Strong and Clear passed from Stone basins and then fall into a small rivulet And although not much resorted to for their healing virtues are well known in the neighbourhood. |
