Applies to the ruins of one, of the many "Peel" houses or towers which are found Situated in commanding positions throughout the County. This one is to be found Standing on the North Side of Glentress Burn -- in the midst of a long narrow glen, beside Some Sheepfolds which have been partly built out of the ruins of the tower The walls - all that remains of them, are about 2 or 3 feet high- and now used for a Sheep Shelter. No tradition of it, or Knowledge of its dismantlement can be learnt in the locality
