An open Valley through which a stream flows - which is sometimes called Hope Burn - on the Farm of Broughton Place; it is Covered with Heathy Pasture, and extends southwards along the Eastern base of Clover Law to within a short distance of the Farmhouse of Broughton place. The stream after leaving this Hope is Called Hollows Burn.
