This is the Remains of the Old Church of the Pari [Parish] of Broughton. All the rem [remains] of it is the East Wall and [part] of the side Walls - together wi [with] a small aisle. It is surroun [surrounded] by a Graveyard which is still used as such. There is no [not] any account as to whether it [was] dedicated to a Saint or not. It [was] allowed to go to Ruins when the present Church was built at Calzeat for the United Parishes.
