This is the site of the old Mansion of Broughton House There is none of the house now remaining, some of the outhouses are said to exist and those small Cottages adjoining are pointed out. The Avenue which led to the Mansion still exists, - in the Centre of which, about Midway - is built the Present Farmhouse.
