When this Chapel was first constructed it may have been in connection................& Ireland to officiate in such chapels in Scotland, and it never was in
with the Episcopal Church of Scotland but at a later period the.............................and it never was in connection with the Episcopal Church
Clergyman and congregation may have renounced the ecclesiastical....................of Scotland, the congregation being members of the English

jurisdiction of that Church. Or, the clergyman may have been ordained..................Church & the Chapel being nominally under its jurisdiction
in England and accepted the present [---] Chapel...................................................of the Bishop of London who is Bishop of all foreign Chapels
from the Trustees without Induction by any ecclesiastical
authority this vesting the whole ecclesiastical authority in the Trustees
of the Chapel. Besides the clergyman may perform the Church............................P.S. May state that [---] submitted your remarks & suggestions to those
of England Service in this Chapel but that of itself will not...................................persons whom I consider would likely take the greatest interest in

Chapel" thus showing it not to belong legally nor Ecclesiastically,
to the Episcopal Church of Scotland. nor to the Church
of England, but the latter name English Chapel would show that
the service was the same as the English Church without any ecclesiastical
connection.
