Besides forming a lodge for the meetings of the brethren, the principal balls and public intertainments of the City are held in it. It consists of two floors, the upper is occupied by a magnificent ballroom & the lower floor is divided off into a reading room, a billiard room, & a kitchen &c. while the front corner is occupied by the Elgin Circulating Library. |
