A well laid out Street of nearly a mile in length built on one side and forms one of the best promenade in the city, its houses are all of the modern style of architecture, well built from 3 to 4 stories high, besides underground flats, and are principally occupied by some of the most aristocratical families of the city, and professional gentlemen, facing this street nearly its whole length, betwixt and Heriot Row are a range of most handsomely laid out pleasure grounds for the use of the inhabitants on each side In this street are the Philosophical Hale, Physicians Hale &c. of which see their respective descriptions |
