A well built and laid out Street, leading from Queen Street in a Southerly direction crossing Thistle Street to its junction with George Street, it is well drained, paved, and lighted up with gas, having a flagged causeway of about 12 feet in width on each side, The houses are all of the modern style of architecture 4 stories high and in good repair, occupied by respectable families also some are appropriated as shops of various kinds, such as Druggists, Cabinet & Grocers &c. |
