The date of its erection is unknown. It is supposed to have belonged to the MonKs of Dunfermline and to have been the Country seat [of] the abbots of that celebrated Abbey. On a grass plot in front of the [---] stands a fountain in the form of [---] mitre, erected in the most elaborate Style.
