[Situation] In Surgeons Square A neat & well constructed building of a hall for the meetings of [--] society a select library consisting [of] 1300 volumes chiefly medical a museum & rooms for the [--] sublibrarian. This institution [--] about the year 1737 by a [--] the students attending the [--] class at the university for [--] of discussing medical subjects [--] mutual instruction. It was [--] by Royal charter in 1778. This was lately purchased for [--] infirmary with conditions to [--] society 5 years time to remove [from the] premises. It is designed to prepare [--] place as soon as possible for the [conducting] of the business of the society [--] this building will be appreciated [--] managers of the infirmary [--] of this latter institution. |
