on the religious Antiquities of Edinburgh.
"Not far from the Church of Restalrig S. [Saint] Margarets well attracts the steps of may
a lover of old times. It is doubtless familiar to many of you
for the limpid purity of its waters and the venerable age
of the stone vault that Encloses it. Some of you may perhaps
be able to recall a memorable instance of the healing virtues of its
waters within these few years"
