An ancient bridge Crossing the River Almond it is built of Stone, having 3 arches and is of narrow dimensions with parapets 4 feet in height, it has under gone several repairs at different periods, as may be inferred from the different dates inscribed. 1619. 1687 & 1776. There is several tradionary [traditional] storeys [stories] relating to this bridge one of which asserts that one of the Kings of Scotland got rescued by the Laird of Ballingeich, from being murdered by the hands of a gang of robbers |
