007.13 A large Coal-field partly in this pqrish & partly in Old Monkland parish. The extent of the workings is shewn in Yellow on Examination Traces. There are two pits in use on this Colliery. There is also an old pit (No.9) used for pumping out water from the workings. This Colliery has been 30 Years in use. Wrought by the proprietor A. Buchanan Esq., in Company with others. The underground workings extend [to] Baillieston in Old Monkland.
