Church. It contains 906 sittings. There is still a committee, styled "Ch: Managers," who are responsible for keeping the Ch: in repair &c. They represent the subscribers by whom the Church was originally built. On the erection & disjunction of this Ph. from the Barony Ph. of Glasgow, this Church was declared the Parish Church of Shettleston under the provisions of the Act 7th & 8th [ict: Cap] 44. That if "in disjoining or erecting a new Parish there "is already built & in good repair, a Church "or place of worship suitable for the church "of the new Parish proposed to be erected, it "shall be lawful to appropriate it for that purpose"
WELLSHOT PIT	Wellshot Coat Pit Wellshot Coal Pit Wellshot Coal Pit	Colliery Map Gavin Brown Manager R. Rae, Factor	007.13	An old coal Pit on Westmuir Colliery. It is now used for a considerable time & will probably be kept open as long as the Colliery lasts. Wrought by the proprietor J.H. Gray Esqr. in Co: with others.
