Transcriber's notes
Pontage. The third Authority given as "Mr W. W" is assumed to be Mr W. Weir who is listed as Authority for other names on this page.In the column "List of names" the entry has originally been Crossford T.P. [Turnpike] but this has been partially scored through and annotated "Pontage only written, it being in the village of Crossford"
Threepwood. No Authority has been shown for the spelling "Thripwood"
Craignethan Burn. Although three Authorities are listed, only one spelling is given.
Craignethan. The abbreviation "T.M." in Description is not a standard Ordnance Survey abbreviation, nor can I find a plausible example in the dictionary and the meaning is unclear
