017.04 An artifical Pond dry in Summer, or rather flooded at disposal. There is a stream through it, which admits, or emits, the water at disposal. The land within it is at present (July) Pasture. It is the property of a Curling Club to whom the ground was given by the Duke of Hamilton. The old Pond, for the same purpose, belonging to the Burgh, used to be near the Barracks.
