This name is taken from an old woman who lived near the Bridge at the time it was built - about 1780. It was, upon the authority of Mr. Hamilton, known about 60 years ago as "Jenny Kether's Bridge", but latterly the first name had been altogether dropped. It is well known. |

The origin of Logans is not known. The property of the Duke of Hamilton. |
