Continued entries/extra info

This camp is situated on the East slope of Snaip hill near the road leading from Culter to Birthwood; it appears to have been defended by a single rampart which has now a very meager appearance, having evidently been tampered with by the farmers searching for stones to build fences. The formation is irregular, and the ground around it is drained and under cultivation, and there is no appearance now of the streamlet mentioned by Mr Irving. This is suppoesed to be the camp mentioned by Chalmers (Vol 1.P154.155) 'Opposite Nisbet there is an undoubted remain of Roman construction, Square in its form and capacious in its contents'.
