It has been more strongly fortified with two and in some places three ramparts. Both these camps must have drawn their supply of water from a small stream which runs between them'

Continued entries/extra info

This camp is situated on the west end of Snaip hill and commands an extensive view down the valley of the Clyde; the ascent of the hill is steep especially on the East side, and the camp appears to have been strongly fortified by two ramparts on the West side, and two ramparts and a ditch on the East side, the formation of the camps is ovate, and rather peculiar looking at the North and South ends, here the ramparts converge; which may be accounted for by the rocky nature of the ground, which of itself forms a natural rampart, A regular road or path, leads from the West side of the camp in the direction of Culter Water.
