039.06 One of the largest kind of old Cairns the loose stone still retain a circular form, with a diameter of 100 feet, about 20 feet in height. Two or three miles of dyke have been built from the stone of the cairn. It stands on the pinnacle of Tinto, and its centre is the junction point of Symington, Wiston, Covington and Carmichael Parishes and several property boundaries. No remains of any description have been as yet found in this cairn.
