050 | A Street in the N [North] East end of Kirkcudbright branching off the East end of St Cuthberts street extends northwards, to near the Snuff Mill the houses are very irregular along its sides and are chiefly inhabited by agricultural labourers there is but one grocers shop in it From the south terminus of this street, on St Cuthbert's Another street goes southwards as far as the East end of High street which generally goes under the name of Millburn Road, as there is but very few houses on it, Consequently it cannot be called a street, but it is Considered to be in the Millburn, in fact, Mr Muir and several others Considers that the name Millburn when properly applied is applicable to that part of the Kirkcudbright Town lying North and East of St Cuthberts street and the Quay vz St Mary's Street etc. |
