The Chapel stood on the Side of the hill about half a mile South of the present college. The remains of this Chapel were taken down in 1858, by the present procurator of the College (Revd. [Reverend] A. Fleming.) The presentation to the Parsonage of Blairs is mentioned in the Title Deeds of the Estate 1535, as belonging to the proprietors of the Estate, i.e. the proprietors of the Estate are the Sole Patrons. In 1535 the Estate of Blairs together with the above named Chapel and Parsonage was conveyed to Menzies of Pitfoddels by the Knights Hospitallers, the Estate remained in possession of the family of Menzies from 1535 till the 19th. of April 1827, when John Menzies Esqr the last of the family of that name, conveyed the present Estate of Blairs to the Roman Catholic Bishops of Scotland, for the establishment of a College. (The above information was supplied by the Revd. [Reverend] Andrew Fleming Procurator Blairs College).
