It would be considered a lonely place before the ground was Cultivated and proper roads made hence the name "Kow Ford" or "Goblin Ford". It is one of the points mentioned in the Royal Charter of 1595. The name is not very well known now, but the authorities are sufficient for its verification and Site. There is a bridge at the place now. |
