This is one of the points mentioned in the Royal Charter of Inverbervie as a point on the Royalty Boundary. There is no mention of it in the Statistical accounts or other parish documents, but it is evidently a very fine Tumulus of the elongated type, it is broadest at the East end and tapers to the west, it is a very conspicuous object and can be seen for a considerable distance. |
