015; 021 This is applied to a small bay on the north side of the head-land called Iaghairt.
DUN [Iaghairt] Dùn Mr. D. McIntyre 021 Is applied to the remains of an ancient building, supposed tower or fort. It is situated about the centre of the almost island called Iaghairt. A portion of the wall which is circular is still standing, and in its day would seem to have been very strong, although not built with lime or mortar. The stones of which it has been built are chiefly squares and of good size. - Signification "Fort".
OB AN DUIN Òb an Duin Mr. D. McIntyre. 021 Is a small creek south and adjacent to the above Dun. Signifies "The Fort Creek".
