is far superior to that of the east side, & Yields excellent pasture This side, between Obbe & Tarbert is divided into five sheep farms & occupied by the same number of farmers whose houses are good.
There is a good road leading between Rodel & Tarbert, these places being the extreme ends of the district, it skirts the western shore for the greater part of the distance. There is an Inn at Tarbert whichaffords good accommodation for travellers, & there is regular communication with Glasgow by steamer to both the above named places.
