012 At the eastern point of the eminence called the Crown, half a mile eastward of Inverness Macbeth's Castle is said by tradition to have stood. That a castle has stood here there can be very little doubt for within the remembrance of persons living fragments of a Castellated building and also stone Coffins or urns have been dug up upon the spot here mentioned. The date at which the stone coffins or urns were found cannot be ascertained.
