that the Earl of Panmure resided at Ardestie and that the last Earl was born there, an old well in the neighbourhood adjoining the Remains of the Castle bears the name of St. Kane's Well (St. Keyna.) almost everything in any way relating to this old stronghold is buried in oblivion.
