026 | The "Land of the Lindsays" does not mention the west-most Law of Hilton, which is designated the Hilton Law in the N.S. [New Statistical] Account. The latter is not so complete having been broken into on the west as shewn by the representation on Trace (3.26-13). Both Laws are regarded as of the same origin in the locality by the personal authorities quoted, and both are understood to be of artificial construction, which are without distinction generally called Laws in the district. |
