A large and handsomely built mansion house with office houses all in good repair attached to it is a well enclosed garden with a large tract of arable wooded and other ornamental demesne lands. It is the property of Mrs D. Dundass late the property of Admiral Durham, on a small platform built of cut stone in front of the mansion is placed a Cannon (a 32 Pounder) which was raised from the Wreck of the "Royal George" off Spithead & presented to Admiral Durham by the Master General & Board of Ordnance
