A small stream which flows from Lochmill Loch southward; and after propelling the thrashing mill at Lochmill passes onwards by Purliehall to the grounds of Pitcairly where it takes the name Pitcairly Burn; it thence flows Southwards bearing different names to its junction with the River Eden. It passes thro' the centre of a field called Bowpark, hence its name Bow Burn. |
