004 | A small circular cairn or heap of hand stones. About 10 linKs in diameter and about 5 linKs high which tradition states to have erected to mark the spot where Sir Robert Balfour of Denmiln fell in a duel fought between himself and Sir James MaKgill of Lindores There is no Knowledge as to the exact date of the occurrence in the locality but in Leighton's history of Fife it is said to have happened about the close of the 17th century. |
