The intrenchment referred to
is not popularly known that Slope
or bank Sketched on trace 9 herewith forwarded extending from the Whins
in an easterly direction, is probably
of artificial origin and doubtless
was Connected with the battle fought
referred to by Col [Colonel] Miller & Mr Small,
aided by my inquiries and what the
above named gentlemen have written
on the matter, together with the peculiar
appearance of the ground and Slope I was
induced to shew the object on the trace named
