019 | [situation] About 5/8 of a mile N. by W. [North by West] from Arncroach. A small arable emnence on the farm of Gillingshill from which the farm takes its name. under the surface is a species of soft rock and a few years ago a large quantity of stones were taken away from it for building and road repairs in digging away the surface for this purpose a number of stone coffins containing human remains were turned up but no weapons of any discription if were found in or near it. [Note] Human remains are not to be written on Plan. See remark No2 on plan. |
