Parish of Tranent -- [Page] 24

Note - I could not ascertain to what
Saint this Chapel was dedicated nor by whom
or when demolished. Mr. Smeaton and others
in the locality [are] of opinion that it had been
used before the Reformation as a Chapel
of Ease to the Parish Church of Tranent
and that it fell into disuse & state of decay Since that
period. The date of its erection is unknown.
