012 An old burial ground which existed before the Reformation. In it is the remains of an ancient Chapel which is already described. This Grave yard is Still used occasionally by the poorer portion of the parishioners residing in Elphingstone & neighbourhood. The people in the locality say it was much larger formerly but the tenant of Elphingstone Tower, on which farm it is situated, has encroached upon it much against the wishes of the people of Elphingstone. There is no fence around it to protect it.
