018 [Situation] Runs is a Northerly direction past the South side of Upper Keith.
A Considerable Stream which rises in the Lammermuir Hills, and flows in a Northerly direction - receiving in its Course the waters of Several minor Streams and bears the names "Linn Dean Water", "Johnstonburn Water" & "Humbie Water"; it then falls into "Birns Water" which, uniting with the "Tyne Water" near "Salton" forms the "River Tyne", which falls into the Firth of Forth at Tynningham.

A neat Square-built Structure Surmounted by a Belfry, on the West side of "Humbie Water", most pleasantly situated in a beautifully Wooded Valley. It was Erected in 1800 on the site of the Old Church which was the Par. [Parish] Church of Humbie previous to the Union of the Parishes of Keith and Humbie about 1675, and is surrounded by a graveyard . It is seated to accommodate 300; the Communicants are 200; and the Revd [Reverend] George Weir is the Officiating Minister.

A neat dwelling House the residence of the Est. Ch. [Established Church] Minister. It was erected about 1789, and has a Glebe attached of 4 1/4 Acres, Scot. The Stipend which is all in grain, is 16 Bolls of Wheat, 120 Bolls of Barley & 120 Bolls of Oatmeal; together with £8.6.8 for Communion Elements.
