William Dawson Esqr. Manager & Factor		 019 A Superior dwelling at the foot of "Croy Hill" having offices, Ornamental grounds & garden attached. There are two approaches to this house - one from "Auchinstarry Drawbridge", & the other from the Parish Road at "Over Croy". (Trace 2 & 3 25-3) In the lawn south of the house is a Roman Altar said to have been found in the vicinity, on the line of the Roman Wall; & in the south wall about 30 links from the west corner there are two sculptured Roman stones built in about 15 feet from the ground. Nether Croy is the property of the Carron Company.
