140.05 In the centre of the town is an ancient stone cross, standing in the centre of a raised octagonal shaped bench of stone steps, each about eight inches apart. From the upper step, which is about five feet above the level of the street, rises the cross which is about nine inches square and twelve feet in height, each arm being only about six inches in length. It has no inscription on it and tradition is silent as to the date of its erection.

140.05 A square tower or steeple and the west gable of the old County Hall, Prison, &c of ClacKmannan. The tower, which is about forty feet in height, is in tolerable preservation, has a modern roof and a Clock. The old gable is fast mouldering to decay.
