CHAPEL (Remains of) [Dale] Chapel (Remains of) Mr. Gunn Dale
Mr. Henderson Westerdale
Capt. [Captain] Gunn Braehour.
022 A small place of worship some little distance north of Dale house. It is supposed to have been built by a Gentleman of the name of Budge, who built, and lived in, the house of Dale. Himself and family are said to be interred within the walls of this chapel which though in a dilapidated condition still stands, the only monument, over their graves. This chapel is supposed to have been built for the Family alone, it has therefore no name. The font for holding the Holy Water, has been preserved by Mr Gunn by building it into his garden wall where it is still to be seen. It is hollowed out of a large block of grannite. Proprietor - Sir P. Triepland.
